Since I am not loving how they're approaching mental health with Caitlin then I'm not loving her story at all at all. They can't say she's sick and then have the only treatment they offer be letting her try and stab him with an icicle.
Also, Julian is right, Barry can either act like a CSI or quit. Either approach the Caitlin situation like a police would and should, or admit he's not been a police since season one's private prisons. Barry should stay quit.
Since we immediately find out Julian is Alchemy, the story is not trying to sell us on his point of view here, so I'm not best pleased with the story.
It's two sides of the same problem, the show never has a system and institutions approach to problem solving, it's all feels and family.
Private prisons and killing people and getting the police to back off their friends with 'i'll do anything' type bribes? sounds more like another sort of Family.
Show should know.
I like how Savitar says you are the past I am the future Flash
and yet his identity is a mystery
in this episode full of split personalities in a season of same.
I know they're doing a thing about everyone's capacity for evil, but it goes all faily because it treats evil as a possessing entity, not a series of choices.
Caitlin's so scared of turning evil she's doing evil. Which is pretty stupid. But it makes sense to her because she seems to think evil is a thing you are, not a thing you do. So all these changes are changes in her nature, and she's not acting like there's choices in there.
... I do not like how writers are presenting this, even when I can make it make watsonian sense.
What I don't like is the characters never have the conversation I would consider obvious, and just flail in maximum drama.
I should write, if I want a different story.
