Gorilla City, Grodd, and at least three versions of Harry.
I hate it when the characters are stupid. It gets boring.
... that's actually like 90% of my reaction to this one.
Julian keeps really trying, and gets a distinctive look that really doesn't seem mockable next to... everyone else.
Jesse didn't invite Wally to come back to Earth 2 instead. I mean, he's still at college, that could matter, but her earth has some excellent opportunities in that line, even if accreditation is hard. It just should have come up, even if discarded, because this way it's like the assumption is of course the girl throws her career away to relocate.
I didn't like any of her reactions in this, they seemed weird. And she didn't get to do hero stuff.
I remain immensely frustrated at what women get to do in these shows.
I'm saving Supergirl for later. Even if every complain I've heard about it turns out true, it still has women actually doing stuff.
Caitlin using her powers for good, yaay. Caitlin telling people to be afraid of her, ungood. Put that character arc on a guy and let a woman revel in it.
Like Jesse seemed to be until it was somehow more plot relevant for her to stand around having feelings instead.
... I don't feel that strongly about all this, it's mostly an eyeroll and a sigh and a vague feeling of disengagement, but I'm looking for things to say about it.
But if you line up Jesse's sidelining, Caitlin's fear, and now portal lady's enslavement? Yes I know two guys got slaved earlier, but still, this story is offering half the people in the world nowhere they'd want to stand.
Boring.
