beccaelizabethI just read a sf story that depended on mars billions of years ago using the same set of musical notes and a language that could be decoded by probability math.
not even all of earth uses the same notes. let alone all of earth history.
and you cant do the probability thing to meaning, or even letters if you dont share some kind of notation equivalence already.
makes no sense.
I mean they could do an ancient astronauts psychic influence thing or say the rock talked to them and translated itself, but what was actually written makes no sense.
