beccaelizabeth5 and Turlough, so I like it already.
Turlough is great because he complains about little things like 'wtf I did not sign up for this' and 'argh argh this hurts this sucks' and 'now how about a plan involving not dying'. Relatable.
Also he gets hilariously snippy whenever the Doctor wanders off to make friends with a girl, in a way that gets quite difficult to read without the obvious.
I like him a lot.
And these were a good set of stories for that, mostly. I wasn't much impressed by Repeat Offender - it's another where something weird with time is key, I like least stories that rely on made up rules - but Memory Bank, The Last Fairy Tale, and The Becoming all had their good bits.
Also Repeat Offender had some neat near future sf worldbuilding, where people no longer trust witness statements because everything is recorded and the recordings are considered more reliable. Makes for interesting 'justice' systems.
The Becoming had a nice sf skin on young people being pressured by careers advisers and cast out hungry if they dont fit the proscribed boxes.
The Memory Bank was the best of the batch by a ways. Manages to make the idea of being forgotten even scarier than it starts as, and explores Turlough's background a bit more, making it a story only this companion could tell.
