it pisses me off both for the obvious thing where it's hardly ever a nice X
and because no, that's not what the law will do, that's the excuse or delusional logic behind it
what it actually means is anyone can treat or mistreat anyone that way at any time
and say they thought they were LGBT.
It's just... it's obviously awful when they're trying to do bad shit, but the unintended consequences?
why does it not occur to those people this shit will be done to them?

this is why systems have to protect everyone. Because as soon as there's a loophole they protect no one.
