Mar. 31st, 2018 12:44 pmI was looking up rich people clothes - I wanted my characters to wear something swisher than Sainsburys, so I started on a list of By Appointment To the royals - and
even rich people clothes apparently only go up to a size 16.
Imagine having £500 to drop on this season's coat and you still can't bloody find anything to spend it on as fits.
Ridiculous.

Date: 2018-04-03 11:53 am (UTC)and I failed
like with MarySue and stuff, I never could do it
I REALLY WANT TO. Everyone says it's so much fun
and I can't
seem to
I keep going back to practical considerations, and I try to make them fancier and fancier and I just get stuck on practical rather than extravagant design
Re: *personal spill moment*
Date: 2018-04-03 12:13 pm (UTC)and I was looking at mansions on zoopla today and some had gigantic displays of art like I've seen in galleries, and it just made the space seem like something not meant for people, much less living in.
so practical seems good too
even if fancy is fun.

Date: 2018-04-03 12:25 pm (UTC)I saw a giant aquarium over the bed. Like those tunnels you walk through to feel under water? BUT it doesn't seem nice to actually sleep under, and one wonders how that SMELLS, and are the fish okay with the weird shape, etc etc. In short: I can't do fancy. ALSO! many of these people have space and equipment for parties of many people, and here's what, if I had money I'd spend it on a very tall fence, not a bowling alley indoors. It's a personality thing, I guess.
