You know when you read a description and then get stuck trying to figure out what angles or how many apple boxes are involved here?

I'm reading a fic and I'm willing for the span of one story to go with 'everyone is weepier and more traumatised than than Harry Potter'

but people keep resting their forehead on his shoulder or chest
while apparently at least vaguely upright
and I keep getting stuck cause I can't just imagine 'everyone is shorter than Harry'
