May. 14th, 2018 11:36 amI need to have more interesting thoughts. Not just for my journal. In general.
Gets a bit boring otherwise.
I have been awake almost 12 hours and I don't know as I did or read anything interesting, which is a bit frustrating cause I certainly read things. I ate two meals with vegetables in them. Ran the laundry. Think the dishwasher was yesterday but that's done. Read some of the Pathfinder rulebook in the hopes of having ideas. Realised how few of the rules I actually know, and that I do not have a group to play with anyway, and if I did I don't know as I'd be any good at it. Um... finished several fics that were at worst unmemorable?
Dont know what I'm looking for in fic but am not finding it.
I should make a schedule, in blocks, so I can Do Things. Like actually watch the DVDs I ordered, instead of watching the same three MCU songvids on youtube on repeat. Or sit down to read a paper book, seeing as there's several I've had unread so long the sequel came out. Or actually listen to an audio rather than just have the tab open.
Or make a list of fics I read so it dont seem so much like nothing?
I do that when they're recs but not otherwise.
I should figure what I'm looking for and make a list of things to go in a story together and then just write it.
... usually the problem becomes I'm looking for the whole all of everything that isn't in canon, or that isn't often on tv at all, so it's more EVERYthing all at once, and you can't fit a cast that size on screen at once.
I know how to structure stories with a bazillionty characters, they're just a lot of short stories that interlock, like chainmail or comics.
I should go back to the stories I had almost a novel worth of plot for and just start writing and see what happens.
Or I could just do my daily word goal as fiction, and see what happens, and who turns up.
... or I could sit around vaguely reading fic that doesn't satisfy...
nope, schedules and plans, would be better.
