Oh, that's brilliant! I was thinking that I'd fallen in love with them both in their final seasons (well maybe not SGA) and preparing to mourn because nine seasons, well that's a _lot_.
If this changing the team thing works, and with how open ended the story is, I see no reason it should ever have to end. They can go anywhere and (sort of) anywhen, there shouldn't be any shortage of stories, especially if they can involve anyone.
This is in no way meant as a dis to either Stargate show, but when I see that season number I can't help thinking, "Stargate SG-1 is heading into its tenth season and Firefly didn't even get one? Not fair." ;-)
