Am reading a long thing about insomnia
and have noticed
all the advice assumes you have a bedroom.

Not just a bed, or a place to sleep.

A bed ROOM, which you use only for sleeping.
A room where you contol the light and heat and access and decor.
A room which you can enter and leave whenever the sleep therapy tells you to, without messing up others.

... this seems to me to be only one of many setups.

I mean, I do have a bed room, which is nice, in my own flat, which is grand, but benefits rules for younger people assume room in a shared house at best, and rules for families assume sharing.

I haven't stats but I feel I can see a problem right there.



... the treatment in the article assumes the problem is the insomniac assoiates being in bed with being awake, and tries to rewrite the association so bed means sleep. which, okay, plausible, but why did bed mean awake in the first place?

I don't know. I sleep pretty well, except for the fire alarm or the shouty people, it's just my sleep cycle is optimised for another planet.
