Supergirl's house

beccaelizabethToday I dreamt Supergirl had a new three storey house and the top floor needed extensive renovation but she was busy being Supergirl and also not a plumber so she needed to find someone that could take on the project but she would also be living there so secret identities would be an issue
and now I'm thinking identity porn slow burn get together fic
but I don't know with who.
Also this house was HUGE, like one corner of the top floor had three rooms so plausibly nine rooms per floor easy, and they had... well you could call it a rudimnetary en suite but see also extensive renovation. So they were like hotel rooms or the fancier dorms. And huge, like double bed no problem. The kind of spacious you only see on TV.
So, the basic question becomes, why does Supergirl need like eighteen doem rooms and a really big kitchen diner ground floor?
Answer maybe Justice League embassy? But with no team yet.
So now the story is about interviewing and choosing a team, and maybe dating them, BUT the endgame person is whoever is steadily fixing the plumbing.
So now I'm thinking they're like a normal human just being normal and domestic.
But also there could be base under seige time near the end of the season and it turns out why the place is taking so long to fix is they've been making it totally badass and defended.
... and maybe the penultimate misunderstanding is when Supergirl finally asks them on a date after this and they think she's just doing it because now they've done fighting? And that's not who they want to be?
But Kara mostly really likes this home they made for her and just realised she had to carpe diem because danger.
... or stopped being afraid because the civilian isn't as vulnerable as feared.
So I don't know who this should be because canon people have bigger and better things to do? But you could AU any inventor into there. ... maybe one who coyldn't get security clearance for official DEO stuff because of family connections, who is trying to live a good quiet life now...
