beccaelizabethToday I thought up a new ish character, got distracted looking for what Peter Wingield is doing lately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnAcN04Lr10 , had Thoughts about Wales and realised as usual I don't know enough history, got distracted by Welsh history, and ended up comparing GURPS Worminghall with real English geography and history to see if they used bits (possibly, but only enough I ended up wiki wandering around finding words here and there, not, like, a one to one mapping with places in the area Worminghall mentions. which makes sense, but, now I've been reading random bits for a while).
Honestly, if I had a clear target or assignment or something, I'd probsbly do the same thing until the last minute
but this way I just learn, like, totally random stuff.
Also the new character has Story in him but at the moment it's Welsh story and I am not myself Welsh. So I'll probably talk myself out of that. But, ideas are good.
You might think that charging around between enthusiasms for lichen and Welsh history is never going to connect up in the middle, but knowledge is knowledge, and it's all very interesting.
At the moment the ideas still look enough like their sources to look like fanfic whilst being different enough they'd be bad fanfic, but, at some point I'm sure I'll stir enough...
