wolf psyche and college
Sep. 2nd, 2019 11:30 pmI am reading Teen Wolf fic and I find it weird how the baseline assumption seems to be
werewolves are highly territorial, except for abiut college students.
After all, kids go away to college all the time, it would be weird!
... except I had to choose one of the local colleges because a stack of reasons, and it seems pretty logical to me that 'would be outside our territory' would be a pretty good reason.
And a degree is a degree? ish?
I mean I hope so, I have a degree via City College, but it is supposed to cover all the same topics.
So it just seems odd to me that the assumption is
everyone can of course go everywhere they like
rather than
well here is a limiting factor, because millenia of wolf wars.
it atrikes me in the same way as Rose getting a trans temporal cell phone
like here is an area where people just don't imagine the possibility of limits any kore.
... but it could just be canon, cause I don't k ow canon.
... but then canon decided the things too. so for why?
It seems to me way more interesting to have people dealing with limits
and if the wolf needs the pack
then that's a good limit to work around.
needing people even when you don't want to need them.
but nope, fragmentation assumed, without werewolf issues.
odd.

But for it to just be No Big Deal because OF COURSE you go away for college, that just seems ill thought-out.
