Turning everyone into foxes

I failed at sleep so I have been learning new spells
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/b/baleful-shadow-transmutation/
Turn a creature into an anumal or humanoid
but Will save first
So if they're a human who gets turned into a fox
they first start to believe they are a fox
and then their outsides follow, if they fail a Fort save.
Which seems mean.
Especially since fail the first and not the second and they're running around all fox in a human body not understanding much.
It's an illusion (shadow) type spell.
You change the shape of their shadow, that tricks them into thinking they match the shadow, and then they do match the shadow.
But the bit I liked was it changes their alignment.
So I went looking for humanoids listed as Good.
But I found a line about changing alignments that said Evil has to be Neutral before it can be Good
though I'm sure that's context specific
but anyways
in the Neutral humanoids there are
Kitsune.
Changing someone into a Kitsune would not be mean
they're an awesome humanoid shapeshifting to human fox person now
pretty cool and with a decent Int score and everything.
But now they're Neutral.
... or not, I mean, other listings like the wiki say Kitsune can be any alignment, but then this does not work.
... first edition Catfolk are still down as Neutral Good only, I think. Could do this trick with cats. and there were these guys, name begins with P, have giant dumbo flying ears, but they have an alignment on the good side too.
So like, I found on reddit arguments about turning the Tarrasque or a great old one into a bunny with this spell, mostly being shot down by those particular beings having spell immunities. It's not listed as mind effecting though, and only part of it is a polymorph effect, so there was, er, vigorous discussion about exactly which immu ities apply. Also a general feeling that said entities wouldn't STAY dead and might be, you know, irritated.
But still. Turning into bunny, especially with intent of killing bunny, seems mean.
Turning into a good aligned catfolk who just happens to currently be Tarrasque shaped, now that seems hilarious.
And turning any evil dudes Good for a day seems like giving them a holiday? Options? Choices?
I mean I hate hate hate the idea of alignments on a racial level anyway, but if you can just flip anyone to being an entirely different sort of a thing for a while, that's like Spike being forgettery under a spell or something, he got a view of alternatives.
?And if someone genuinely asks, there's always Atonement.
So now I want a Bard Druid who can go around turning people into Kitsune for a day and being like, hello friend well met, have you considered the benefits of being Good?
... I mean if they were Evil and intelligent then they could be talked into things ANYway, but this option comes with shapeshifting...
Don't know if it would work though. Need more sleep.
