RFJ 1 - 2439 words and end of teaser fadeout.
Its a bit lumpy. The mood and pace changes like a dozen times in the teaser alone. And I feel like you can see each and every time I stopped for the day. But, first chunk achieved. Now I can get on with writing the main part of the story.
Whenever I write I have to remember that good enough is good enough. And just getting the words on the page is, by this point, good enough. They will never match my mental image of good. Reality doesn't. Especially when I made it, I'm never satisfied with my own work. But I have all these stories waiting to be told, so really I ought to just get on and tell them, and let the quality take care of itself.
On the up side the motivations I was having trouble believing in the planning stage are working themselves out in better detail on the page, so, story working.
Is 0145 so I'll stop for the night. Maybe read a book.
