Today I am Grumpy.
... yesterday I was mostly asleep, so this is sort of an improvement.

I watched a bunch of episodes of His Dark Materials season 2, because the iplayer thought I would want to and I didnt have any better ideas.
... it is just children in danger and getting injured, and that doesnt seem like adventure any more. Dont like it.

I have a stack of things I still havent watched but I think I would get my mood all over them so I'm saving them for later.

Also I kind of want to go rewatching things.
Maybe the lego flash movie again. that was colorful and unchallenging.
or some of the many DC cartoons. Maybe Brave & Bold?

There's a lot more cartoons I've heard of but dont know where to watch. That usually means streaming these days. I dont much like that though, I worry what happens when things close or they just dont want to show us any more.

Also I saw someone rec a particular version of Babylon 5 (something about definition, aspect ratio, and fx) and now it is bothering me again that different places can show different versions and you wouldnt even know you were not watching The Thing but rather A Thing, Of Many Versions.

One of these days they're going to customise tv like they do advertising and use different digital actor avatars depending on our preferences and no two people will watch the same thing ever again.

And then we'll be in even more atomised worlds than we are right now.

Which will be lonely, and leave us even less to talk about.

But the algorithm will always be there for us. As long as some company spomsors it.

... like I said, grumpy.

ah well.

I shall try a book.
