Short stories from 2018
Apr. 2nd, 2021 09:55 pmI have been reading
The Best Science Fiction & Fantasy Of The Year Volume Thirteen
Edited by Jonathan Strahan
I think I'd seen a lot of the stories elsewhere before, but then I'll find a striking one I don't know, so it's good.
So far I liked ... actually I was going to write out titles but it's like I liked a couple of them very well and found them memorable, but when I looked at the contents list I liked many of them and felt like it was unfair to only pick some out.
I liked the one where the librarian witch got the right book for someone, and the one where a sort of educational interactive display changed the fate of the post apocalyptic world. One by Alix E Harrow and one by Simone Heller. Those were very good. But others were good as well.
I'm back to the short story feeling of wanting a meal and getting bites tho. Satisfying conclusions are reached, but, I feel like I've been nibbling.
I miss science fiction group.
Or, you know, talking to humans and leaving the house and all.
I'd like a castle so I could invite people to be a household without having to share all my stuff. And maybe then to play a board game some time.
But, I have a flat. And a stack of unread Asimov's. And an u finished Best Of.
Guess I'll get back to that.
