beccaelizabethI picked this book to reread because I couldnt remember it, and if I turned out not to like it I can get a bunch of shelf space back.
It is not badly written. But I might swap it out.
It's just a bunch of nasty and depressing people doing nasty and depressing things. It's the sort of world characters endure. The story kills puppies, and then brings one back just to kill them again.
I am not finding much so far that would make me want to revisit this story later.
It is also the first in a trilogy and I picked up the second one to keep seeing what happens next, and I appear to have like 9 of these, so who knows, maybe I liked them better later on.
But I still dont remember them, and that does not bode well.
