I got my new phone working and actually installed an app. For the first time. Ever.
My first app is the Big Finish app, because priorities.
It works pretty nice so far, and also I think the speakers in my new phone might be nicer than in the box I use to listen to the CDs.

So.

Big Finish audio, Torchwood, Coffee
Surprisingly enough about Ianto Jones.

It's set in a cafe in the bay, from the point of view of a worker there.
It starts when Ianto found somewhere to make coffee for a 'job interview' and hears a rumour about a pterodactyl
So I was looking forwards to hearing the story from this angle
with outsiders who have their own story.

It keeps wandering around in the background but you swiftly realise it is hitting all the tragic highlights, just from the point of view of people who do not know enough to understand.



Then he comes in after a bunch of explosions, acting oddly enough they notice, and he orders five baps to go for the office...
no
three.

That one they understand.

But it keeps going after that, until it gets to Children of Earth
and
That.


So.


I liked the story. It unfolded a lot of story quickly, and it showed a perspective that made sense. I liked Ianto saying he keeps talking to them because people like them are why he keeps doing the job. I liked when Ianto was a total prick he apologised. Both bits made for good story. He has a stressful job and he maybe possibly loses perspective sometimes. Makes sense.


But then I could see The End coming and. Now I am thinking about it again.



I listen to Big Finish so the story never has to end. And yet so many of the stories are about the endings.


This was a good one.

But now I am sad about fictional characters again.




Also, because the app has dates next to things, I can see at a glance that I am so behind in my listening to the main range that I'm still in 2018.

Yet I keep up with Torchwood.
