beccaelizabethPathfinder Kingmaker on the xbox crashes an unacceptable amount.
And today the crash ate the save file somehow, so I lost 60 levels of dungeon of progress.
60.
Two sets of 30, bosses killed and clues on the table both times.
I had just honorably retired a party after they killed a boss on level 30, and then the game crashed during character generation, and when I tried again the Tenebrous Depths save was just... gone.
So, did I put the game down and stop playing it, like a sensible person with other things to do?
... my next party experienced TPK on level 8 because I got lazy and let the automatics do too much until they lost really fast. And also I didnt know you cant leave the level in the middle of a fight so running away didnt work.
Now I'm on level 4 but I am having no luck making the kineticist work so I dont know how well this set is going to manage.
I should buy a game that actually works.
Or, do something that is not play a game.
I am a bit fed up of Pathfinder now, I feel like the game mostly demonstrates how the rules narrow the possibilities. I can make it work as an evoker wizard but any other magic is just not working out. And nothing in the dungeon can be negotiated with. Even in the main game there are so many more detailed ways to blow things up than there are ways to talk things out. Pitax is pretty much the only section where you can politics a better outcome.
I know with the paper game you can emphasise things differently but I'm feeling that Pathfinder is not a great fit for my imagination, and that is annoying because I have like two and two half adventure paths still not read.
Ah well.
It's something to do.
I shall look for things to do with other humans, soonish.
