Jul. 2nd, 2021 08:06 amToday I finished listening to Stranded 2.
... the last story did not grab me.
I went back and relistened to bits of UNIT dating again while I was there.
Tech continues to be trickier than it looks. The headphones beep and the blue light flashes but quiet enough I feel like I shouldnt be able to hear it and obviously I can only notice the blue in reflections because headphones.
Also I thought I could fit all the Big Finish on the new device but as it turns out I cannot. And it took me aaaages to figure out how to delete things once they're downloaded. Nothing has instructions any more and tapping or tap and holding isnt the only way to interact, it turned out to be a sliding thing. I did not guess it was a sliding thing for a long while. Instructions are handy to have.
So I listened to some bits with a view of freeing up some space, but Living Legend was funny so it is still there.
If there was a way to delete individual tracks I could get rid of the chatty bits and have more space. That's simples in a computer but not in the app. *sigh*
The Destiny of the Doctor isnt fully acted though so I'll probably get those 11 CDs of storage back. I've only relistened the first one so far though.
It's easier keeping track of things when they take up actual shelf space but I have actually run out of shelves, so, I do keep trying to get the hang of things.
... it'll all change again though. it always does.
ANYway, turns out I still like Doctor Who, so that was nice.

Date: 2021-07-03 11:42 am (UTC)I had the same frustration with my new phone. Turns out there's extensive pdf manuals online, if you now to go look for them (with name of device model, of course), but it didn't bother to say so on the box.
There's also different types of taps and pressure points and slides. Very annoying to not have it explained properly.
Having an audio jack was my number one parameter in choosing. Limited the options considerably. Which is good. The variety was very confusing.
Note, unlike the energy efficient physical headphones, bluetooth headphones eat up the battery.
If not enough memory, can you add an SD card to your device?

Date: 2021-07-03 08:22 pm (UTC)The headphones instructions says they work for about twice as long as they take to charge, which does not strike me as a good ratio, but they were cheap.
I shall go looking for instructions.

Sorry you don't have an SD card option. It's so liberating to have the ability to add on ridiculous amounts of storage like that. (The next device you get, I rec ensuring audio jack and SD card options.)
