This v long fic is getting harder to read.
Is toxic monogamy a phrase?
it keeps on being like 'there's only one person for me, there's never been anyone else, there never will be'
and I get the feeling this is the underlying reason it is a time travel fic???
like it can't just ignore canon or do different after the curtain falls, because people have to be The One for it to be True Love???

Ew. I totally think 'toxic monogamy' is a thing. I say that as someone broadly monogamous, too, just... I hate the "jealousy equals violence equals romance" thing, and "there's never been anyone else = true love", and "this is the most important relationship, friendship gets a supporting role" thing that often goes with it.
