Aug. 20th, 2022 03:16 amThis week I've been doing not very much.
Watching some Leverage, reading some fic, discovering when I try to kudos that I had read that fic before.
The usual.
Today I found 3d bathroom designers online and fiddled about with them for a while
because
I was designing rpg castles
and I wondered how their assumptions
fit the real world.
... every room is made of 5 foot squares, so, slightly awkward to fit a bath in, or really huge.
this is not a productive use of my time, but, *shrugs*
also I discover I do not like most bathroom suites. they're mostly the same sort of same shapes, and the ones I think of as Actual Bathroom are filed under Traditional.
when did handles go out of fashion? very silly, much less accessible.
I found one website that said you could use their software to design accessible bathrooms, but, when you read the instructions, you have to do all the measuring etc yourself, and all they've done is add a circle to represent a wheel chair turning circle.
somewhere there must be establishes standards for such things but my search terms kept finding blogs and design pages.
Housing is weird. It seems increasingly disconnected from actual need.
*sigh*
