This week I have been proofreading a thing I wrote at the start of the year
(the bits that didnt for some reason print in yellow)
and it is... not entirely good.

Only found some pages I need to pull apart and rewrite
and one continuity error
but

I've just really put myself off the guy the protagonist is there to save.

Like, I can see why everyone else wants to leave him there, now.

It's not cheerful.



Also there's the thing where basically the bad guys should have won, because character levels, the good guys don't have them.

Logically I could redo the level math, but, didn't do that.

So basically they're all very implausible.

Even counting the thing where... I think it's three of them get temporarily dead?

(they have a cleric).


So now I'm just... not enthusiastic about this story.

Still, very near the end of proofreading. Shall finish that.



I think the basic problem is too many characters trying to tell too many stories at once.

But also they're all relevant?

So I don't see how to make it better.


Ah well.

There's always writing the next story.
