Torchwood Archive

Today (yesterday, midnight happened) I listened to the Torchwood Archive from Big Finish, the ten year anniversary audio that tied up all the threads from early Torchwood monthly audios about the Committee.
... I had actually completely forgotten everything in it. And now I have listened to it again, I can see why.
There are a few good seconds of interesting emotional connection with characters we know or at least vaguely care about, but then there's the rest of two hours. It's a clips show of all new clips. It has a bit of Ianto at the fall of Torchwood One that I'd forgotten and failed to update my headcanons with, because it added only to this specific plot, not the character. It has a little bit of almost everyone in it, call backs to audios Big Finish and otherwise, and a plot that ties things off, ish... but it didnt feel like either setup or payoff. And it did the haha fooled you bit at the end which rug pulls on not only the characters but the listeners. We have literally no reason to believe that anything we heard was actually what happened, anywhere, ever. Which leaves plenty of room for story to manuever but basically zero interest.
So it passed the time but I'll probably forget it again.
... and also be grouchy about that.
