Today's WotR was a lot of stomping around the landscape trying to find things, having the wrong characters with me when I did find them, then going off somewhere else to tidy up random two line quest endings. If this setting had phone calls I could have saved a week.
Also I tried to work out the puzzles as intended, but still need to look them up. Something about how my brain work does not click with how their tile puzzle works at all.
Did get a tiny bit more of the plot in. And noticed that one character gets changed to match the Commander's gender. At first I wasn't keen on that, but then I could see a stack of reasons, so now I'm down to vaguely displeased.
Legend is getting a bunch of different responses.
Trickster did some leftover weirdness too, like horses around town keep complaining. Which is fun but disconcerting.
Also I discovered that if a dog is yellow outlined and you click on it, you kill the dog. Every green outlined thing in town just talks. Every yellow outlined inanimate object lets you loot it. ... technically the dog also lets you loot it, on account of you can prepare parts for sale, but still, I am displeased at this.
Not enough to rewind to the previous save though because it dont save much around town.
I am slowed down by how fast I can recruit for the armies, even though I'm having some luck trying battles the computer thinks are too big for them. Troop types aren't varied enough and I need more ranged options, or to spread them thinner, don't know which will work best. But one week's recruits can make a 7 ranked army all on their own, so, not too shabby.
Had fun playing but it's less fun when you dont hit a big story milestone.

Date: 2023-07-30 04:10 am (UTC)Also have maxed Diplomacy and did not choose Tiefling Rights, instead chose democracy. My thinking was that on paper Tieflings have the laws about their rights already, and one popular guy telling them to respect it is probably onky going to last a few months once he's gone. If it's a hearts and minds problem then Woljif saving the world should go a long way to fixing it anyway. But there's one functioning democracy in this world so maybe putting in an elected royal council could make lasting changes in more places.
Tough decision though.
You'd want to stick around to do the hearts and minds work long term.
