8 and Lucie Miller
Oct. 17th, 2023 09:33 pmToday I listened to Dead London, Max Warp, and Brave New Town.
I think these were the first Big Finish Adventures that I bought, waaaaay back when they were new and I hadnt listened to audio adventures. Which would be 2008.
I still like how they bounce along happily and resolve the adventure quick but not too quick.
And I love 8 and Lucie.
I have these on CD and not as part of a Big Finish subscription, so they arent in the app. I spent a while trying to figure out how to put them in my phone to listen to before I remembered I can just put them on this windows computer and press play. Bit embarrassing how I get out of the habit with every new device. Used to have a dedicated MP3 player for them. ... come to think, it couldnt fit very many adventures in it... and now my phone has not quite all of them, because I didnt buy the biggest phone.
Time keeps happening... and it is probably on this journal somewhere... hah, didnt write much of a review, mentioned it as part of a con report back then, but did mention it.
Brave New Town is about a town that got stuck in the 90s, from the perspective of 2008, but now 2008 is just as much a historical.
Luckily we are not caught in a loop where Prince of Thieves is always at the cinema and Bryan Adams stays #1 forever.
... now I'm wondering which day would be least annoying to get time looped in.
... I mean as soon as they put all the Doctor Who on the iplayer I'm going to have stuff to watch for teh forseeable, so, probably Nov 1st?
Today was stressful and annoying, but listening to Doctor Who is reliable good stuff.
:-)
