beccaelizabethLife works better when sleep works and sleep works better when power tools do not work but my nocturnal habits arent the boss of other people's repairs so, tired week it was.
This has not been a fascinating week, but I am okay, just very bored.
I'm the sort of bored that doesnt go away when you do interesting things because there is another secret different thing that is the only thing that is interesting and you havent guessed what it is yet, but, so it goes.
I have been listening to a lot of 5th Doctor audios and I just got to the one where Nyssa leaves for a final time. Unfortunately for it I did not have the intended emotional response. I didnt like the storytelling shape, which is intentionally distancing, with the in character narrators and all. And I didnt like the musical chairs of self sacrifice. Honestly my feelings actually agree with Turlough, though that doesnt make me a better person, killing people who were just trying to kill you does indeed seem reasonable. But the story kept on shutting down alternatives. Until in the end Nyssa decides to stay behind and teach these people medicine. It's kind of like the story went, hmmm, lets do the same thing again harder and more final! So like, obviously she would do it, but, well, I wasnt having feelings about it because the story showed how many strings it was pulling to get us there. Just kind of grumpy at the story now.
... I feel like the secret interesting thing might be the Torchwood in Pathfinder crossover that only exists in my head, which obviously makes for difficulties finding relevant content.
... guess I'll go read some Pathfinder books and daydream then...
