Constantine Matt Ryan series
Jan. 27th, 2026 03:15 pmHave watched the first episode of the Constantine series.
... many characters need therapy; John needs therapy from the correct century without the malpractice.
I am not a fan of the framing
the mental patient is the only one who can see the truth
or of this whole bit with the not-hallucinations revealing real threats
but having someone who knows he is both mentally ill and dealing with demons?
compelling.

Date: 2026-01-27 03:58 pm (UTC)... I want to give this guy a hug and a nice meal and possibly a soft blanket or warm jumper but he never wears those.
I also noticed that he says he's doing all this to contact his dead mother but he's been unable and just contacted like everything else. He has clearly decided this is a skill issue but possibility: someone lied real big. Like there's room in canon for the It Was Never Your Fault variation, as of episode one.
Summoning a bigger bad to try and free Astra is firmly in Fault category unfortunately.
but I remain unconvinced that this is Arrowverse compatible.
