Have watched the first episode of the Constantine series.
... many characters need therapy; John needs therapy from the correct century without the malpractice.

I am not a fan of the framing
the mental patient is the only one who can see the truth
or of this whole bit with the not-hallucinations revealing real threats

but having someone who knows he is both mentally ill and dealing with demons?
compelling.

I was a little unconvinced by how easily and bluntly John talked about his Horrible Trauma but then I thought that he's been in a psych hospital voluntarily for months so he has probably said these things Several times lately.

... I want to give this guy a hug and a nice meal and possibly a soft blanket or warm jumper but he never wears those.

I also noticed that he says he's doing all this to contact his dead mother but he's been unable and just contacted like everything else. He has clearly decided this is a skill issue but possibility: someone lied real big. Like there's room in canon for the It Was Never Your Fault variation, as of episode one.



Summoning a bigger bad to try and free Astra is firmly in Fault category unfortunately.


but I remain unconvinced that this is Arrowverse compatible.
