This one had interesting. The whole freedom fighter vs battle junkie bit.
but my main impression by the very end was "Mac, you MORON."
Quickening on AMMUNITION?

Which, okay, pretty
but so stupid!

Also, they got rid of Charlie. For why? Did they decide the show needed to be whiter? Or was it the full disclosure bit - having made it an issue they didn't want to follow through, so bye bye Charlie.

I guess I could watch the extras and see if they said.

But that would cut in to my episode watching time.

Yeah, I always wondered about that, too. I sorta liked him. Which seems to be my fate with HL in general: I sort of like the side characters, nearly all of them, yet get annoyed at the Hero. (I try not to, but I can't help it.)

Duncan is... well, the trouble is the writers think he is the Hero, so some of the details stay unexamined. He has a tendency to give orders instead of explanations, to intimidate physically, push his friends around, and sometimes manipulate people with 'I'm so pretty *pout*' when it isn't in their best interests. Yet he is The Hero. I wouldn't so much mind any of that if he got told off for it.

and secondary characters
(partly because they have less time to be annoying, partly because they get got rid of if they are)
