"Something about a girl with her hand on a man's wallet that turns me on"
weirdly narcicisstic
Duncan got a guy locked up in a prison for the insane.
for how long?
long and long, right?
Compare/contrast 'The Innocent'
and grrrr with me.
Presumably the difference is he thinks of it as punishment and didn't want to punish that guy???
But the thing with the secret can't be a factor.
Unless its because science et al has changed so much since then.
Or maybe that back then changed his mind.
"70 years they locked me away. So long that no one remembered where I came from or who I was."
so... the records got destroyed every ten years then???
paperwork has a long memory.
the bit with the lightbulb is lovely and creepy.
"I would know if he was dead. I would feel it."
balls.
thats one of those things people think *should* be true.
Why is Mac using the actual tool as a tool when he could just as well use an empty can? He can't empty cans without the tool!
Dumb.
"You and MacLeod. That you're more than just his Watcher."
good old fashioned / there too.
yeah, just good friends. but the whole story is about getting them back together. is fun reading it romantic ;)
Killean is a moron.
Which isn't surprising after 70 years in a box, but still, moron.
Duncan having a military Quickening. Looks even sillier than usual. :)
Quickenings are interesting. They do so many of them they have probably used every film trick in the book. I could do a compare/contrast and use all the good keywords from Cultural Studies last year.
probably none of the isms though.
Amanda leaving again :(
because guilt.
sets her apart from a lot of the more grey characters I like.
"I forgot how fragile they are."
And her last favour is "Go see Joe. Duncan, life is too short. For him."
see, message!
Highlander might be 'about' Immortals, but its all about the mortal stuff, don't leave it for later stuff.
and the drink at the end.
goes right back to "I only drink with my friends"
that was Duncan's reply to Joe reaching out the first time :)
