I *like* Cory. I mean he's a nutjob, obviously, and criminal, and seems to not understand the whole 'pain' thing. But... he just has *style*.
Plus, Richie and Mac turn up, swords drawn, and pissed off. So what does he do?
Asks them to join him in the hot tub.

"Two is company, four is... just not sanitary"
says Mac
he don't know what he's missing.
Of course theres added fun in Cory's name - Raines.
and, okay, the spelling isn't the same.
Watchers Chronicles CD also has a lot of different aliases, variations on Corwin, so the Raines part isn't even the part he keeps. But... possibilities...
so now I have this crack!fic idea where Cory is, um, Ethan's adopted father... because, Immortal, and insane, and you never know.
And really, wouldn't that just explain *so much*?
the bit with the cows - when they sense the presence of another Immortal and Mac is all 'can't be coming from the cows'. that's funny :)
"That Immortal just robbed that armoured car!"

I like Amanda.

Richie looks good in this episode. He's sitting there eating an orange with his feet up and I'm remembering why I fancied him.
also, he went from peeling an orange to apparently having eated the orange in about 3 seconds flat.
so now I have visions of him fitting the whole orange in his mouth at once...
"Smooth. Very smooth. I'm taking notes."

And Mac *runs* down the stairs so he can get to Amanda getting out the lift. So sweet!
You know, apart from the part where they can't communicate for toffee.
Richie being the voice of reason. Lookit, growed up!
Amanda is all 'crime, yaay!'
and Richie is all 'being terrified, never knowing who to trust, always wondering if today would be the day I buy it'
which is interesting, because that wasn't just 17 year old criminal, that was last month thinking Mac wanted to kill him.

see, he grows and learns and stuff. its this really neat thing characters can do.
Mac to Cory - "I'm going to put a little kink in your arse"
*be giggles uncontrollably and nearly chokes on biscuit*
Mac go boom!

(my sense of humour is, er, simple...)

I like this episode. It is Very Silly, but in a way I can enjoy. Boom!

That's why the incredibly lame excuse - "and on the day the words 'flimsy excuse' were redefined, we stood in awe and watched". Also, "I'm going to put a little kink in your arse"? Do they not KNOW what they're writing?
