beccaelizabethwas mousing around reading stuff
found people talking about the influence of X on TV
and people acting like X invented a whole bunch of stuff
when to me it clearly traces back through Y into, like, Shakespeare and probably lots of stuff in Latin.
So, have realised
discovering something once only works for one person, with a good memory
mostly things need discovering over and over again for every new people
and sometimes those people get to be the loudest people in the room
and sometimes the people who don't know yet are still loudest
and there are a whole lot of rooms
So, aspect of popculture X has come to us via a whole alphabet of history, but without that history looks entirely novel, new, shiny
and in fact is
to those readers
but having the rest of the alphabet gives you more depth to the reading
I really need to go sleep 4 or more hours ago, since its 0723 and I haven't sleeped at all. I'd make the thought tidier but the sleep thing is needed first. So I'll post this and hope it makes sense in english.
