Word count: 23456 words

I, er, admit I put in 3 extra words solely to get the number just right.
But since on rereading I can't remember which three, they must belong really.

I'm not entirely happy with the title. Or the last line. Which is an issue, because of course these things are crucial to how a story is received. *nods wisely*

Also everything I wrote today... I realised I'm trying to get a comics effect out of plain text, where there's lots of frames even if not much is happening. So I keep on making
a
new
paragraph
every
line.
Which might not work so very well.



Haven't had a volunteer to beta read yet.


Is possible that betas for novellas are somewhat rare...
