beccaelizabethBeen watching Farscape. Up to almost end of first season.
That Peacekeeper Tech girl's death would have been far more tragic if she hadn't basically died of stupid. I mean running off was dumb, and just standing there with gun pointed was dumb. You got the gun, you use it. Not going to use it? Don't get it! Dumb.
And all that true love stuff anyway... I mean, granted, the guy is hot, but she met him once! They kissed, and now she throws over her entire lifetime of training and her allegiance to the Peacekeepers and just... jumps to helping this guy she knows nothing about? Ack! Dumb.
Either that or humans (or just that human) have weird effects on peacekeeper women. Because really that is two instant allegiance inversions. Though Aeryn hardly went that far, or far at all.
Now I'm wondering if there's a similar story where a bloke changes sides... Actually D'Argo and that woman earlier in the series kind of counts, but that turned out to be some evil thing pretending to be hot woman, and all went horribly wrong. Whereas this time it went tragically wrong, which is obviously an entirely different thing.
It is 0313 in the morning and I really should go to sleep now.
Even if there are only 2 episodes left in the season, there's still tons more to watch after that. And they did the thing where the offspring arrives and Aeryn is saved and they escape and Crais is screwed and Scorpy is set up as the bad guy all already. Right now I can't remember what they have left for a finale.
I shall sleep.
