How is it I can be so tired I can't read my textbooks and keep my eyes open, yet I can still meta?

... no, wait, don't answer that, I think the word is 'fandom'.

Anyways, tired.
Don't know why. I'm not sleeping much, but that's hardly news.

This morning's dream was rather interesting. It involved twin brother and sister sociopaths with patched together zombie slaves that fed on blood (and me with a sewn up side that snagged a stitch and started bleeding, making me both kind of foodlike and kind of zombielike in appearance). There was also a girl who had taken one bite out of that apple Eve gave Adam. Apparently because God made it it was no more mortal than anything else in the original Garden and kept on regenerating, so that self same apple of knowledge is still around today. I dreamed this, but find it a rather cool and internally consistent idea.

Anyways, the girl might have had knowledge of good and evil, but she were still foolable. I tricked her into thinking she was burning up inside because of that apple, and she couldn't get rid of it fast enough. So then I owned the apple.

I had to think about if I should bite it.

I mean, okay, the Bible says you die, but then it says they just got chucked out instead. And who wrote the Bible anyway? And... basically dream-I was thinking very hard of reasons to try eating the thing. Knowledge tasty.

So sociopath-boy bit it. Because he was a bastard. But once he got so much as just the juice in his mouth, he realised it was Wrong. And he realised a lot of other things were Wrong. And having suddenly developed a conscience he immediately had a crisis of it.

His sister was Not Amused, and blamed me for corrupting him.

Meantime, dream-I had this contract, to be signed in blood. Got a drop of blood on it too, kind of by accident. But being a tricksy sort, this was not a lifetime sell your soul type contract. This was a 30 day renewable trial of a lifetime. So there were all these sudden demonic powers, but not necessarily soul loss. Yet.

She was doing math on if her trading her soul for doing lots of good things would work out to the good for the rest of the world.

There was this big deal of a distinction between Satan and Lucifer. Lucifer was the light bringer, who fell trying to do the right thing. I thought that was pride, but what do I know? Anyways, in the dream he was the father of Satan, who was this young business type dude. Lucifer was this older dude in a white robe, played by I think the guy who was Jor-El on Lois&Clark. My subconscious, it is a deeply strange place.

Anyways, Lucifer warned me it wasn't worth it, while Satan glared at him.

I went back to go have a chat with some friends, and they told me I'd started growing horns. Which I thought was pretty cool. So I looked in the mirror and there were these very elegant crystal horns. Trouble was there was also this nasty flat demon face, so I wasn't so much pretty.

Then there was an interlude where I got really tall and the girl sociopath told me off for seducing her brother, her standing on the balcony, me on the floor, her brother... somewhere at waist level being... interesting.

Apparently he'd acquired other knowledge having nothing to do with good and evil... well, being very good *at* stuff... ANYways, that part was distracting.

So then dream-I decided that the whole being a demon thing was over rated, and had already decided not to sign up with the angelic hosts, so the way to go was the middle way - be human and get really good at it.

Which is my usual conclusion in such circumstances, since reading Good Omens anyways.


With dreams like this, is it any wonder I wake up worn out?
