What's with the ear thingies?
I mean, I know they're for talking through, I get that. Like phones.

But in the first eps everyone had the nice curvy black ones, which I like.

In ep 3 Jack has a different thing, all silver pipes and angles with a shiny blue thing on the end. Looks much less friendly and rather silly, imho. Draws attention to itself in an angular tech way instead of curving in making a nice shape with a face.

Owen is still wearing the other sort, far as I can see.

So why the change?



Also, what would Jack carry on a watch chain?
I mean, wrist watch, other wrist thingy, AND chain.. okay, so he has an hour glass on his desk, and that's probably not a necessary timekeeping device either, but...

Plus there's the thing with we're watching people watching, which reminds us we're watching, and we're watching them being made very uncomfortable by what they're watching, indeed feeling what the people they're watching are feeling, AND YET we the audience are not half as uncomfortable or effected, which in turn makes us uncomfortable about being okay with what is freaking people the hell out.

Exactly like last week, we watch the rape and are made to realise we're sitting there watching and apparently enjoying something deeply fucked up.

His Tardis key - so he doesn't lose it but it's always with him, just in case.
