beccaelizabethI keep breaking the GURPS character builder. It's just not built for Chaos mages. There's all sorts of compulsory specialisation in religions, and trying to specialise in a half a dozen of them made it cranky. And then I was trying to get some symbol magic in there, along with some tattoo artist and calligraphy skills, and it would happily add a lot of different names of symbol sets but adding the actual symbols required fiddling around telling it to duplicate and make children.
That whole parent/child menu thing just gets bizarre. I mean 'Erotic art' being a parent is oddly logical, but 'handcuff' and 'tie knots' as children is just not.
... and still, I have no particular use for these characters.
... yet I find breaking the system oddly satisfying.
to make Andrew in GURPS you have to either give him a really broad based magical background, with prerequisite 1 spell from each of 10 colleges, or you have to invent a world where demons are reallyreally easy to summon.
Also, you have to invent names for demonic languages. I'm not feeling that inventive today, so I just gave them numbers. But we know he knows some. And Klingon.
... Andrew's character sheet basically looks very, very weird.
A lot of charcters on TV are kind of unplayable. And a lot of groups need those rules for unequal point cost characters. Like season 1 Angel with Cordelia and Angel in the group? No way they're in the same league.
... I should probably go sleep at some point.
