VIII Cry Wolf
Werewolf one. Lots of naked, lots of sex, lots of nasty violence.
Apparently this distracted them from the bother of forming a plausible plot.

IX Be Movie
Thinks it is clever. If you do not think it is clever, it is in fact deeply boring.

X Pineapple Chunks
*facepalm*
written by a 14 year old. I mean... it could get crappier. The random crossdressing/glam sibling was just bizarre enough. But everything else? Deeply deeply stupid.

XI The Boys Club
Rather deeply fucked up. In vaguely interesting ways. Kinda.

XII Turn On
Now this I like. A bit much sex and a bit messy still, but mostly just some creepy. Cameras and identities. Neat stuff.

XIII
"When you've only the one story to tell, that's all that you are"
and the wonky X they've used as a symbol explained - where fantasy meets reality.

On the plus side, Richard O'Brien as the old storyteller and a pretty bloke as the new.
On the minus side, things crawling out the walls to eat the agoraphobe chick.
Because I needed more to worry about ;-)

... But hey, she was dating the cute writer bloke, so swings and roundabouts.

This last ep tried to pull the others together into some kind of coherent 'verse. Which I don't think worked. They were a bunch of seperate bits of bizarre. No connections.

I did like "Zombies are the Ikea furniture of the netherworld - easy reassembly"

Having watched the first season, I think some eps were worth the time. Not enough, and all rather early in the season, but some.

It had all the flaws of television and none of the advantages, which is why I don't usually watch the... what do they call them? Series with no regular characters.
It was just a bunch of bite size... Er, pause while I scrub my brain out because nothing bitten in this series is something I want to think about. It was just a bunch of small snips of what occasionally managed to be scary.

I have also concluded/rediscovered that I don't watch horror. I watch dark fantasy, I like vampires and werewolves and zombies and stuff, but I don't watch horror. Because when everything ends by everyone dies and/or becomes the monsters, it gets a bit samey.

Some of the characters and setups could work for me, but I've mostly seen them done better elsewhere.

Which is the other problem with burning through all the horror genre staples in a row.

Am I going to watch season 2? Sure. I bought the things. May as well.

Don't know if I'll watch them tonight though.

Probably going to do some reading rulebooks and attempting sleep.

... Yes, I'm really looking forward to my dreams tonight :eyeroll:
Mind you, horror very rarely does anything to my dreams that textbooks don't. The only thing on TV that reliably gives me nightmares is Daleks.
