I don't know if it's LJ doing something in the Rich Text editor or what, but trying to read it as one solid block of text... urgh.

PS: If paragraphs are present, it probably helps to have more than one sentence in them. If you'd have to breathe more than once to say the thing? Probably could use more punctuation.

PPS: Beta readers? Still helpful.

Beta readers who question their writers about word use, especially when the writer doesn't speak English as a first language, also a very good thing.

There was a fic this week where "semen" was used to mean "(garden) seed" and, in comments, the beta said she thought the writer was being colorful.

Julia, need the eyeroll smiley for that
