vague old school Doctor Who question

I have the impression that at one point there were several stories of the general pattern: rich industry does something Very Stupid, often involving computers and/or being mean to their workers and/or replacing their workers with computers. Rich industry people get Very Dead. UNIT turns up to save the day, mostly by the Doctor waving a sonic screwdriver.
Yesno?
So what I was wondering is about names. Of episodes, yes, but mostly of the companies involved.
Because I had a thought about Torchwood, and what their jurisdiction is, and their tendency to buy up other companies...
