Maybe he's a book man.
Or comics. There's a lot of kinds of comics. And there's a whole meticulous collection and poly bag thing that I can totally see him doing.
Or wargame figures. Attention to detail, again.
Of course he could fish. I don't get fishing, I really don't, but quite a lot of people seem to do it.
Probably not hunting though. Especially lately.
There seems to be a fan hive mind consensus on swimming and/or rugby as his sports. I have no problem with that. Nice visuals either way.
Swimming has less crunching though.
I can see him as a team player, but covered in mud? Hmmm.
...actually, I can see that too.
In... quite a lot of detail.
I can imagine Torchwood people watching SF, but mostly in the way Buffy watches martial arts movies - with laughter and critique. But, to get into relevant areas of expertise, there could be fandom. Only then it would be sad, because all that everyday life would take the fun out of it.
... I reckon Owen watches Xena. And Charmed. Because costumes, and bouncing.
Only I actually reckon Owen doesn't watch a hell of a lot of TV. He owns a big shiny TV but then doesn't stay home enough to watch it.
Jack is likely mystified by most pop culture. Because it's weird enough if you grow up with it.
I think like the clothes his taste in movies wouldn't quite be 21st century.
Possibly even black and white.
But he'd find the obvious omissions weird and frustrating.
I think we've also seen that he's quite familiar with porn movie cliche, but I am of course totally guessing due to not watching them myself.
Gwen watches soaps. And possibly The Bill.
Maybe only before she applied for the police job.
Tosh watches downloads. Probably from Japan. And also something sort of chick flick for days when chocolate ice cream and a surfeit of pinkness is necessary.

... I think he'd like the Addams Family films. And Beetlejuice. And... I'm just starting on the top shelf of my DVD collection and typing, really, so...
I'm fully aware my logic started with wanting and not, you know, actual demonstrated character traits, there.
But whatever he likes, he'd be able to quote from it extensively.
And probably have opinions on the clothes.

Date: 2007-01-21 02:37 am (UTC)Right, I digress. Owen is a BIG football fan. Gwen and Rhys go out and occasionally watch games, snuggled up together. Owen goes for the opposite team to annoy them. Ianto maintains neutrality, but when he's caught up in a game he can turn into a Scary Fan.
Tosh was into anime as a kid. She liked sci fi. Not for the plots, for the technology. The Gundam series would work.
Jack would watch documentaries. For background information *grin* And all of them would watch Planet Earth. David Attenborough is win. (Come ON, ABC, show the second half already!!)
Owen would probably watch House. Then try to use snarky House-isms on the rest of the team.
