Jan. 30th, 2007 03:36 amI've realised part of why fic is not feeding me the way canon does is simply point of view. Fic keeps going looking in characters heads. And I don't usually agree with what fic finds there.
Plus, it keeps disambiguating things. I like ambiguity. You can fill in all sorts of things in the fuzzy spaces. Plus humans aren't generally all that clear on what they think, feel, want, or even do. So pinning it down just loses a bit of real, for me.
I like nice watching them from the outside TV, because then you have to do thinking and figure out what's behind their eyes and you can put a dozen different things there and quite a lot of them will fit.
