I did college
we're writing poems
first we wrote down everything we could think of from the prompt "I remember"
since I was half asleep I mostly remembered Doctor Who.
and also conventions, with dancing.
I can make a poem out of that.
So I now have a Theme.
I also wrote a small poem about fish. Except it's not about fish because they weren't fish really.
Then we had to go concentrate on a particular sense. Everyone that wasn't me did this by wandering around college. Teach realised this might present problems. Offered to do the writing things down part, but frankly I was so close to asleep the wandering round parts appealed in the way that is not, so I was just vague and got to sit still. I like that.
I did do the assigned work. I made many words about the assorted textures of the room we do lessons in.
Also I found two staples and a sequin. Actually, lots more than two staples, but I only picked up the two that were in arm's reach.
I do not know why the sequin.
Then we did studying rhythm and metre, and I did some reading stuff out to tell the class what a syllable was. I got it right, thankfully. And barely stuttered. I might get the hang of this yet.
And then there was going home right afterwards.
So I like today. It felt short and quite a lot of it involved thinking about the Doctor Who dance or the way the lights look extra trippy when one has been awake 27 hours. Kind of low effort.
Poems are going to be tricksy. But I've already thought of something to do with the form that will make the point more pointy, so now I just have to think up the words. Easy.
