Doctor Who: The Armageddon Factor

The bit with the twin planets and the war is somewhat predictable. Because nobody on Doctor Who has the kind of war you just win except if it's historical.
You know the thing with K9 is you kind of have to accept he's a very small and coincidentally dog shaped person, or else the thing where the Doctor jumps in the furnace after him is really rather insane.
Except the bit where he comes out utterly unscathed.
Theta Sigma, Theet for short, class of '92
... I am amused.
Drax, another Time Lord. Sort of. With the failing part.
So he gets a different accent ?!?!
I am amused and *facepalm* at once.
"Who's a little tin dog then?"
"Your silliness is noted."
It's interesting though to have a different career path on show.
Costumes: Romana's little white dress with the vvv edges is nice, except I don't generally wear white.
But I do have a skirt almost like that. Not the same, but close enough, maybe. Hmmm.
Princess Astra has a lilac and yellow ensemble that perhaps needs some work, though I like the shapes.
So why is it the spooky skull heads are always bad guys? They can't ever fake out and have them be good guys?
Oh, while I'm here - computers with TAPES??!?
Obviously these are highly futuristic tapes that are in no way ridiculous in a world with interstellar travel.
This is the funnest in terms of plot twists. They've had the whole bit on the planets at war and now they've got a sort of different thing with them running around in the Shadow world and it's all one story but it's all kinds of twisty cause new things keep getting dropped in. And then it's back to the war thing again because everything pulled together. And then close up the whole multi story arc! Eversomuch fun! I like it :-)
Wanna watch again!
Would have been even funner if I didn't know most of the endings already :-/
Is the only problem with Doctor Who - just a teensy bit not-new, these episodes.
Romana to Doctor: "You have absolutely no sense of responsibility whatsoever! You're capricious, arrogant, self-opinionated, irrational, and you don't even know where we're going!"
Doctor: "Exactly!"
Yup, that's pretty well accurate ;-)
I'm never surprised when companions leave, just that they stick it out for any length of time in the first place.
Not that I don't *like* him, just... insane people rarely make good flatmates / travelling companions, you know?
Now the only problem is deciding what to watch next. Neat.

Look! Koschei/Theta (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/48974923/)! (Slightly porny.)
