These lines
here
are next to each other
and therefore
might be poetry but
are all one
paragraph
This line here is an actual new paragraph. See the difference? Big empty line in between!
Posting entire fics without those cute little empty spaces?
Not. Good.
Seriously, I know it's probably something happens in the interaction between assorted computer programs, maybe even a display issue where your style or word processor automatically thinks one 'enter' is a big empty line, but most people have one 'enter' being
next line
which means you have to hit it twice.
Or else it ends up quite unreadable.
Some days I think I should type up, like, a haiku or drabble or similar artistic expression of basic points, and then go leave it in every single fic it applies to.
... grammar haiku anyone? Torchwood relevant layout drabbles? Some really nifty fandom specific way of saying that dark grey on black is not the world's best typeface?
That way it's not just being grouchy, it's being creatively grouchy. Where snark meets art.
Other topics include fic headers and exactly why a fic should have the same title for the whole story. Which will take some thinking about in that way that things that seem utterly obvious tends to. Not that posting a series with different titles is necessarily of the bad, but posting in numbered parts but with different names? Not helpful!
... IF I were the boss of the world it would all work MUCH BETTER!!!
:eyeroll:
