Less good thing: They're lists from last year and the books listed for the units I actually did only almost match, I think. I'd have to compare carefully but I know I only bought books off the reading lists and I have books that aren't on that other list and don't got books that are.
Embarrassing thing: After asking tutor and being all frustration that I had no list I find this list amongst things I downloaded last year. Oops...
Lists look very intimidating when they've got the module specifications for the entire degree course on one word document. Many pages, much writing, books enough to fill library.
Cut it down to the two modules I'll be doing next semester and it's a much more manageable list.
Also there's a couple books I read and liked that keep turning up on many modules. So that's win.
... sometimes I look at my degree and I forget why I wanted to do all this in the first place.
Then I go do reading and it's full of shiny thoughts and I remember.
Lesson: Ignore paperwork, read useful books.
I guess I can start ordering next year's books now then.
... the ones I'm reading now are from last year. In fact from the first semester of last year. The list was longer than humanly possible. I read a ton of it, but still I have stacks and stacks. Is kind of fun as long as I remember which bits were required (done) and that it's all optional now.
