dreamed today
Dec. 17th, 2004 06:33 pmHad one of my usual long complicated chase sequence dreams, with elevators and a big tall hotel/office block/thingy and assorted body parts being outside when they shouldn't be.
The fun part was when I found Ethan.
Me and mine were having to evacuate, and Ethan was running with us, and we had to stop off at base to get a couple of people out of cold storage. Teal'c was there for reasons unknown, the other two girls took care of him. The zombie dog was just kind of random. But Sharpe was there in stasis because he had about five minutes to live if I couldn't find a cure to the poison he'd been stung with, and it was beyond my power. It was kind of like a scorpion sting but it would spread out and, er, make him all hard and hot... my dreams lack subtlety. Let's call it 'turn him to stone'. Anyway, was a transformation. Which is Ethan's gig. So we undid the stasis and I left Ethan to fix things, because he said he could.
Then I had to go deal with aforementioned zombie dog, which wanted to go out and play, and hey, who was I to argue? At least then it would be a *happy* zombie dog.
So when I got back, Ethan was all pleased with himself. And Sharpe had apparently been turned into a really big book.
Pause.
Well, okay, he is a little more mobile like that than he would be if turned to stone...
But Ethan took my hand and helped me sense the spell, and he'd done something double clever. Sharpe had been stung in the spine, so even when the poison was taken out, there was residual damage that would take months of therapy to overcome. So Ethan had turned him into a book. With the 'Sharpe gets stung' chapter at the beginning, and lots of illustrations for 'Sharpe gets time to heal'. And then if you flicked forward far enough he would be all healed up and ready to work.
Only trouble was, this book-world came out of Ethan Rayne's subconscious. So, yes, it involved physical therapy, and massage. And also very large three breasted women, and Sharpe ending up with long hair done in ringlets. I tried not to notice the other details.
So we got Sharpe back again, alive and physically well, but emotionally somewhat traumatised.
My dreams are strange, Ethan's are stranger.
