shopping! whee!
Dec. 24th, 2007 04:26 pm... well, now I'm home and managed not to faint in the shop (I had to go stand outside and put my bag down) then it is whee. At the time it was more wah, but not completely, so that works out.
... there were small children screaming and every til in the shop was going bleep and there were PEOPLEPEOPLEPEOPLE and... *shudders*
and yet, had fun.
also, mum bought me presents. That I will like getting. I don't know if I'll like it to listen to, but, well, my whole stance on not buying what I don't need saw a picture of John Barrowman and... *sigh*
There was other stuff too. Usually I go round shops and go 'oooh, shiny!' and someone goes 'do you need it?' or I have to carry it round the rest of the shop and have time to think 'do I need it' and then I decide I don't need it and put it back. Mum however goes 'right, having that' and puts it in the basket. So, I have two decorated candles, a roll of hologram wrapping paper, eight christmas tree baubles, a big star that should go on top of a tree but I think I'll just put in the window, a string of disco ball style beads, and, sadly, a sort of a santa hat with a spring on top. I, er, kind of like it, apart from the thing where it's really bad.
I think we must have spent maybe twenty pounds on things that were just oooh shiny. Which isn't bad really. Er, is it?
Oh, and also there was a handbag. Made of red glitter. I liked it the other times I saw it but it used to cost more. Today, £3. Win!
Mum has now left her shopping here while she goes to acquire a tassel. I didn't ask what for. It is quite possible I do not want to know.
Also she bought a game for my brother and says I bought half of it. Which is very efficient I suppose. I was just going to give him cash.
Right. Now I have to go see if the coat I bought can go through the washing machine ready for tomorrow or if it needs dry cleaning and will have to wait for next year.
... it's bright red and shiny. There's a limited number of days that's really the look.
