Okay, so I just went from skip=400 to all caught up in an hour and eight minutes. For a definition of all caught up that means I've either bookmarked stuff for later or opened it to read tonight. Lots of reading, yaays!

... It's nearly 11pm and I'm finally feeling sleepy. :eyeroll:

ANYway, I checked my email too, which could have been useful. Except nobody emails me. Just mailing lists.

I'm so popular.

Ever get the feelin ur doin it wrong? I get that a lot.

Things learned this weekend: A Welsh rugby song, the theme to Dogman, that sufficiently drunk people will sing Doo Wah Diddy for a quarter hour, where Kai Owen goes to drink after filming, when Torchwood season 3 starts filming again, that he's seen the episode 1 script but can't speak a word about it, that some people get Very Loudly Opinionated after three bottles of wine, that Kai Owen is about the same drunk and on stage, only more fluent and louder in the bar, that Tom Price seems nice but sounds nothing like PC Andy, and that while I've spent all weekend at a con with guests from all Doctor Who and Torchwood I can only remember bits the Torchwood people said.
... I'm sitting in the bar wearing my Torchwood t-shirt, technically after the convention finished. I know full well what my main fandom is.

I think it's also because the Torchwood data is new, shiny, future useful stuff, whereas the other stuff is more filling in around the edges of existing data.

I love my UEA course. There were so many things I could pin together into a more coherent structure of knowledge because I've got that ten weeks of figuring stuff out in order. I mean my DW knowledge is... I'd say detailed but I know fans who know waaaaay more than me, so say only more detailed than the casual viewer, but, DW comes out on DVD in weird order and I watch it in weird order and I didn't have much context on production or real world events or anything, and now I have at least a rough idea of stuff in order with production setups and real world context. It's pretty cool.

Yes, I find it cooler than my theoretical knowledge of the history of film. That wasn't as fiddly detailed and I got fed up of the texts and more of it is likely to fall out of my head. History of British television though is now pinned to Doctor Who in my head, and therefore likely to stay.

Okay, hour and a quarter. I have a quarter hour of voucher to use up. I go read somewhere else.

While you have your con-going head attached I found this in another friends LJ. I think you'll appreciate it...
